We're looking at an investment rental property located in the Lake Forest community in Bridgeport. Would like to get opinions on this neighborhood, and if Bridgeport bears a good investment return (we do plan to hold the property a few years). Thanks for the advice in advance.

I have lived in Lake Forest for 8 1/2 years. I enjoy the lake. I have great neighbors. Its convenient to everything. I feel safe here and plan to live here for a long time...

Recently, quite a few properties have come on the market in the 200's if you haven't purchased yet. Let me know if you would like specifics.

As a Realtor and owner of 2 properties, which I've purchased over the past 2 years in Lake Forest, as you can see I'm a believer in Lake Forest. Its a great area and if you have a few minutes, visit my website to view some properties currently on the market. You may also want to visit http://www.LakeForestAssociation.com for information about the association and the neighborhood. Lake Forest is Bridgeport's best kept secret. This quiet lakeside community has been well established for many years and offers many amenities such as an active neighborhood watch, an 80 acre lake for swimming, boating and fishing in the summer and ice skating in the winter, 2 private beaches and a clubhouse for member's gatherings and parties, accommodating to 150 guests. If you have any specific questions, I'm sure I could answer them for you. Currently there are quite a few properties on the market in Lake Forest to choose from ranging in price from the mid $200's up to the low 500's. Rentals bring a good price in this area as well. Sacred Heart University is close by as well as a large corporate park and a new arts center currently being built . A typical 3 Bedroom home can bring between 1800-2200/month. Values have held strong and Bridgeport has a lot of good things finally happening! Please feel free to get in touch if I can be of further assistance. I hope this helps. Kindest Regards, Linda Cappello, Realtor, GRI, ABR, Notary
