There are many web sites that you can find homes for sale in the Corvallis area. While you are looking for a homes on these web site be sure to look for information about the agent listing the homes you are looking at because they will be representing your interest in buying a home. You need to find an agent that will work for your interests and your interests alone. I would recomend using only an agent that is a certified residential specialist. You will them by the CRS behind their name. These agents have gone over and above the average agents. They are the top 4% of agents doing 25% of the business. Your chances of a successful close in a timely manor will be more likely with CRS agent because they usually come with more experience and better communication skills. You may find a good agent that isn't a CRS, your chances are just better if you use a CRS.
I do not work in that market but I used to live and work in Linn and Benton Counties and I know many great CRS agents in that area. I would be glad to refer you to an agent that could help you locate a good home and negotiate a good deal.

There are a number of places you can look for homes in our area. The other agents are correct and those are great sources. I would like to offer yet another place to look. http://www.WeinholdHomes.com Obviously this is my website but its run through Windermere. One thing I would look for in a website is one that will fully sweep the local MLS. As you may notice, some companies will only promote the homes listed through their office, resulting in a much smaller selection. More and more are becoming fully swept sites though.

The absolute best way to find your home.....get in touch with a local Realtor who knows the market so they can help make your search more effective. Find one that listens to you so you don't have to waste your time looking at all the wrong homes! The wonderful part about this is that you don't have to spend a dime for his or her services. The seller does!

The Trulia link does not show all the homes in Corvallis. The Willamette Valley has it's own MLS listing - http://www.wvmls.com. This will list all homes for sale through a realtor in this area. For homes by owner check Craigslist, IggysHouse or the local newspaper classifieds - The Gazette Times. Most homes are listed in Sunday's newspaper, although line listings are included all week.
