Looking for an area with nice bay view, relatively safe and not too much fog. Open to either condo or house. Suggestions?

Hi Bargain_hunter,

If you would like to get away from the fog, then consider purchasing a property south of San Bruno. It usually gets warmer and there is less fog as you go south. Another area that might be of interest is Redwood Shores and Redwood City. The area has been known to have the warmist average temperature all year round in San Mateo county.

For that price range you have a very wide option.

As many Realtors say, "We don't only sell houses and land - we sell lifestyles". So depending on what you like to do, if you have kids, where you work, etc. Would be where you want to purchase.

I grew up on the Border of San Mateo & Burlingame - so for my own purchases I am slightly biased to that general area. Burlingame and San Mateo have good schools, good shopping/dining/entertainment venues, easy access to transit (Bart, CalTrain, Freeways, etc.) and most neighborhoods are very safe.

Foster City is also another great place with similar qualities.

I would love to discuss what types of properties would match your lifestyle.

Hi Brendan,

For a condo, let's say $500,000 to $750,000. For a house, let's say $1 million or so.

Thanks.

Hi Bargain_Hunter,

What is your price range? The general rule is the farther south and inland you go the less fog. I can give you specific areas or specific properties that may be of interest if you let me know your price range.

If you don't know your price range - you should talk to a mortgage banker/broker. If you don't know a good mortgage banker/broker, I would be happy to recommend some to you.

You best bet is to find an active agent who has lots of knowledge and knows the area well. If can get pretty foggy in SSF, but there are some pockets that have views.

There are condos for sale in Millbrae with great views. If you are not already working with another agent at this time, feel free to contact me and we can discuss your wants and needs.

Good luck,
