To answer your question, is this going to be a primary residence or second home? I would highly recommend Newfound Lake in the center of NH. It is 1.5 hours to Boston. It's the cleanest lake in the east and is the best kept secret. It is surrounded by mountains and is reasonably priced vs. Lake Winnepesaukee. Another Lake that we have sold homes is Pawtuckaway Lake in Nottingham. My partner Steve White lives on the lake and was past president of the Lake association. We can definately guide you in the right path to Lake Side Living. Don't hesitate to visit our website at http://www.NHRealestateteam.com

Hi Lfif- A lot of possibilites there. Depends on price and other things of course. And what is "close" to Boston?
Kingston has 3 lakes.
Big lake in Bow/ Strafford.
Nottingham has a nice lake.
Then the lake in Manchester/ Auburn.
If I can help you out any further, please call or email me. Thanks and good luck!
