P.S. If you decide to go the referral route make sure your agent is recommending somebody they actually know something about. Agents are paid a fee by the agent they refer you to. It may not even be an agent they know just somebody they randomly picked that agreed to pay the fee for the referral.

If you know some realtors in Raleigh ask them for a referral. If not then call around but, always interview several for the position of helping you find a home. If you still need help I can refer you to someone in the New Bern area to interview.

Your best bet is to contact the Board of Realtors for that area. They will be able to give you statistics on the various real estate companies near you. Then you can do some more research on individual agents before deciding who to go with. Make sure you pick someone you are comfortable with, and who truly listens to your need.
