Last week, I visited my friend who recently purchased coop in Jackson Heights. I was really impressed with

the size and also private garden. I am currently living in Prospect Heights but after my experience at JH, I am considering to move there. JH seems to be up and coming neighborhood. What do you think about buying coop in JH?

Hello

I grew up here and have always been surprised that this amazing section of queens is still a mystery to so many in the market to purchase. I frequent the up and coming areas of yesterday and have to say that JH has all if not more appeal as it has yet to be tapped into. Great restaurants zagat rated and every kind of food you can think of, cafes, bars, libraries, green markets, parks, community involvement etc. I have been pushing this area to a lot of friends and co workers looking in brooklyn, and manhattan where price in this economy is not accessible. If you haven't taken a look I know of a great place you would love if you are into the brooklyn feel of a new home or co-op it's sell by owner and I would love for you to see it. email me and I will pass on the information good luck

Agent 10017 actually said that prices will keep going up. In this market i just have to laugh at that. How is a neighborhood up and coming when it has been around for over 100 years?

Ask your friend for her opinion and I'm sure she has new friends, ask them as well and decide from there.

We just bought and moved in, and are thrilled with our new neighborhood. After 15 years in a tiny apt in Hell's Kitchen, we couldn't be happier with the space and real neighborhood feel. For us, we chose to stay close to the 74th st/roosevelt station since we both wanted quick access to the E express train for our commute into Manhattan, but the whole neighborhood is really unique and wonderful.

I live in J.H. since the end of 07. I love the look and feel of the hood. But I miss having a green park nearby. Working from home I feel a little isolated, but I guess if I'll commute, coming home would be a paradise!.

I live in JH and for my money its a safe investment. Easy access to the city. Excellent restaurants. I have 2 coops and 1 condo for sale right now. And my Phone won't stop rining! After the residences on 73rd came and went last winter, JH is now on the radar. get in while you can.

Kfrank,
My parents bought an apartment in Jackson Heights 4 years ago.. great area, convinience and close to
subway, mets and restaurant. The prices will keep going up.. the apartment are spacious.. you can find a one bed with 900 SF (in sunnyside thats a two bed..)

But if you are buying here is the best location. From 77 Street and 85th Street and between 37 Avenue and 34th Avenue....
good luck.. Also Let me know if you need any help searching for one.

Jackson Heights is a fabulous area, but many of those historic co-op buildings have strict no-dog or no-pet policies, so check out each building's policies carefully if you're a dog owner .

Realtors cannot get involved in neighborhoods and school districts. Have you discussed the question with your friend who lives there? Did you like what you saw? If affirmative to the above, provide me with your requirements and email address and I will keep you updated on available properties.
