I am an agent in Los Altos for over 2 decades...you may want to consider Mountain View HS area of Los Altos. or perhaps the northern Los Altos locations that would be Gunn HS.....
Please contact me for further discussion....I was a HS teacher for 8 years in the Cupertino District before I became a Realtor and did work at Los Altos HS for a short period.

Example: Menlo Atherton High School has a relatively low score, but every year sends many of its students to Ivy Leage schools and Stanford. The overall score would not suggest this.
Mon Dieu! It appears that there is a somewhat larger proportion of non wealthy students at LA high vs Palo Alto, Cupertino and Saratoga Schools.
Essentially you have a bifurcated score, with about 1/2 of the students scoring comparably to PA, Cup and Sar. and another sector of our community.....more middle class and less affluent students.
To summarize: when ALL of the student body is wealthy, the scores are higher. When there is some financial diversity.....the "average" score of a High School could be somewhat lower.
I would gladly trade some financial diversity any day for a slightly lower school score. My children learned that not everyone is as privileged as they were by attending Mountain View High School.
