Just saw a house listed for $124,000 and the taxes were $65,000 Could tjhat be true?

FIRST ANSWER

No! I don't think so. Our taxes are high, but that is a little extravagant! ; )
I think it was probably $650.00. That is about right for our area for a $124,000 home. I can't think of a time that the taxes would be listed as 50% of the listing, even in a tax sale.
If you would email the address, I'd be more than happy to look it up on the county records for you so that we are sure.
