Because we live in the desert and there's not enough water to go around.

Hi Sue,

I would venture to say that having a pool in your back yard is definitely a personal choice; they can be very expensive, and if you do have one installed, you may not get all your money out of it when you sell. Also, some people love them, some people hate them, and if you do have a pool in your backyard and go to sell your house, the people who hate them will not even look at your house. If you are looking to buy in Tucson/Vail, and you want a pool, look for a house you love even if it doesn't have a pool but with enough room to have one put in! Contact me if you would like help finding a home here in Tucson and/or Vail. (I do know of a nice property in central Tucson, it's a short sale, 2858 sq. ft. approx., beautiful yard with a wonderful pool, was purchased by the current owner back in 2005 for $750,000, it's currently listed at $449,000.) Let me know if I can help you!
