I'm single and have been in the area for 10 yrs. this property is directly above the train station (lots of pros and cons to that in general). If you don't have a car the commute is AWESOME. It's well lit. Safety wouldn't be much of an issue. Now if you plan to run or walk your dog, you have to know which direction is safer in any neighborhood.

Best place for that answer local police station! Boston Police have many neighborhood stations that can give you great stats!

If you are concerned, here is a great website for crime stat's:
spotcrime.com

The condo you inquired about is located in a beautiful new building. There are currently 7 units for sale in the building:

2 other areas to consider that are affordable and easy commute to downtown are:
West Roxbury:

Jamaica Plain:

I think you need to do some homework . If you really want crime data you can call the local police department for information and check the online sources.

As realtors we are not allowed to omment on the safety of any areas. The best advice I can give you is to google the location and see what others have to say on the area as well as call the local police department of the area. They usually keep crime statistics for each area. Also, you can check here on Trulia and Zillow for input on that area from other users and information gathered from third parties. Hope this helps out.
