Just an FYI that you may find helpful. Check out http://www.njtransit.com they have a great interactive map of the train stations that will give you point to point travel times as well as let you know which are direct lines.

Sara,

Paramus does not have their own train station. Paramus is a large town. depending on what area you purchase you would have different options of which train station in other towns you could use. the commute to Penn Station is approx. 40 minutes. the commute to Port Authority is about 45-50 minutes, by bus, again depending on where you get the bus in Paramus.

I take the Train from Radburn, Fair lawn Station. In 20 Minute you @ Secacus and then Transfer to any train to Penn Station. If you looking for home in Paramus, then look near paramus rd which is on the East side on Rt-17. Paramus has lower taxes and there are buses to mid town, near house of worship and close to amenties. e-mail haroon1034@bluerealty.com

Oddly Paramus does not have a railroad station. The neaerest is probably River Edge or Hackensack. In both those cases you can change at the new Secaucus transfer station to get a train to Penn station.
Probably takes about 50 minutes travel time.

HI Sara....I can't help you with Paramus, but............

I can help you out with information from my area - Essex County. The mid town direct train (from NY Penn Station) makes stops in South Orange (my son often uses that stop), Maplewood, Millburn and Short Hills. From S. Orange it is approximately 30 minutes. There are other stops in towns such as Summit, Montcliar and Morristown ( which is further west , in Morris county).

Take a look at the website: http://www.NJTransit.com

Hope this helps!
