Is there an older area of Vancouver with craftsman homes that are generally remodeled and well-cared for, in?
a safe area, with coffee shops, stores, etc. within walking distance? I'm interested in moving to the Portland area but the neighborhoods I like in Portland (Hawthorne, Sellwood, etc.) are pretty expensive, and I would prefer the lack of state income tax since I'll be retired when I move.
