We live in a gated community which doesn't allow fences. We have a Siberian Husky that I would like have a back yard for. Is there any way to sell our home and at the same time use the money to purchase another house.
Lake Charles and St. Lucie West communities have a lot to offer. Yes, the housing market is difficult at this time, and the most important step in your sale and purchase is to use a local REALTOR who knows the market. My office is in St. Lucie West, just a stones throw away from Lake Charles, and I have successfully sold homes in Lake Charles. We have walk-in clients in our office askng about the different gated communities. I would love to talk with you in more detail about the successful marketing and sale of your home as well as the purchase of your next home.

Janet,
As you know there is a large inventory of homes for sale, but if a home is priced right to sell, it will. I would love the opportunity to talk to you about listing your home and helping you find another. Katie Murphy, Realtor -- Keller Williams of the Treasure Coast. 561-452-2160; ktmurphyrealtor@aol.com
Hello Janet,
When you interview realtors, at least 3 (preferably 5), ask them about their track record, e.g. how many homes they have sold, (especially in Lake Charles) and how long they have been in real estate.
Since you will probably be using the same agent for both the selling of your home and purchasing of a new one, ask them if they would be willing to lower their commission. By this I mean that once the home is sold, they rebate you a portion back when you purchase the new home from them.
I'm sure my fellow Realtors will not like this advise, but after all, we are suppose to look after our clients best interest.
I'd be happy to help you in both the selling and buying process. Feel free to call me at your earliest convenience.
