Don, if you believe that negotiation is "pitiful", you're giving many real estate agents a black eye. All commission is negotiable (or rebate-able, within the confines of state law).

I'm disappointed in you Bradley. As an investor you must consider yourself a professional. Asking hard working agents to engage in online begging for such a pitiful offer from you really rubs me the wrong way. If you believe 1% of the purchase price should make a difference in who represents you you are certainly going to fail. The right agent will save you ten times that much just with proper negotiating on the buying end and you can't lose sight of their value when you sell. Why don't you go to Arizona, Bradley? I think you could have even more of your brand of fun down there.

In this market, there are many struggling agents. I'm sure you are going to get several offers to negotiate commissions with you. I also would be willing to discuss it.

I hope that in this search for an agent that will give back some of their earnings, you don't end up getting someone that isn't going to truly look out for your best interests.
