Is there a way to find the designer of a condo floorplan and see what else they have built?

Asked by silverx07, Austin, TX Wed Aug 1, 2012

I fell in love with a floorplan in a certain condominium in Austin, but the place was foreclosed on early this year and is not back on the market yet. There are no others of that floorplan for sale in the complex, so I was wondering if perhaps I could check out other places built by the same designer (builder?) to see if they had something that I liked as much.

Sorry, I'm looking to buy, not build.

Are you looking to buy, build or rent? I presume you are desribing the "Canyon" floor plan in the complex. I have designed similar units and may be able to assist you.

I posted this in reply to Israel, but I'll re-post here so that everyone can see:

I'm particularly looking at the Canyon floorplan in the Vista Hills Condominium complex. I like it because I'm going to be subleasing to help cover my mortgage and it has
1 - two (separate) one-car garages
2 - high ceiling in living room with windows for good natural lighting
3 - large walk in closets for each bedroom
4 - two separate very spacious bathrooms
5 - not one but two balconies
6 - an actual utility room, not just a closet
7 - most importantly for renting out a room, the master bedroom is on top of the place (3rd floor) and so can be totally isolated from the rest of the place

Condo complex. Makes for a complex question. It depends on when it was built, and by whom. What is the location of the complex you're asking about?
