Is there a way to find the addresses of a particular model home sold by the builder in a community?

I am interested in purchasing a particular model home as a resale. It would help if I had the addresses of the particular model so I can watch when it goes on sale.

In Commerce City, the Building Division and the Planning Division make up the Community Planning and Development Services Department, which is located at 7887 East 60th Avenue, Commerce City, Colorado 80022. Their telephone number is 303.289.3683. Give them a call with your question, and you should be able to find out everything about a particular subdivision. Here's their website if you would like to use that to contact them: http://www.c3gov.com/pages/government/planning/index_planning.html

I would also suggest contacting the developer directly. However you have noticed this particular model would be a good way to start as well. If you live in one or know somebody who does then you can do a search with the County to see who it was that first built and then owned that home.

The Building Department in your community/area/county has records of builders that have developed in your area. Many counties keep blueprints on file and some via microfiche if dated more than 20 years or so and some as little as 5 or 10 years. You can look up the address online if your county provides an intranet and the property is recent, Or You may need to pay a visit to the building department to get the information. Either way, the information is publicly available mostly with some footwork, time and a few cents. I have found very old properties with specific builder information at the public library as well. You will be able to find most pertinent information about properties dated back as far as the 1800's in some cases if you have the tenacity for digging. All of this kind of information is public. Not only that, but there are classes to take on this very subject in many areas. If you can’t find the information on a particular model online than go to the city manager or city engineer of the building department and look it up, if you are nice enough, they may find it for you.

I would suggest that you contact the developer/builder if he is still in business. I am assuming that the model that you are interested in is specific to one subdivision. If that's the case, you could ask the title company for a list of all the properties in that neighborhood and then you can highlight those with the same floorplan. In addition to getting the list, you should also get in contact with a local agent that farm the area in which those properties are located. Ask the agent to notify you when one of the thos homes comes on the market. Lastly, you could also be proactive and send a letter to all the owners of those properties and let them know that you are interested in purchasing. I hope this helps.
