Is there a way to find selling prices of homes w/o having access to Heartland? We are looking at different

neighborhoods in O.P, Olathe, Shawnee & Lenexa and I would like to know what some homes in these neighborhoods are selling for. Is Heartland the only way to look at this information or is there another way for us non-realtors to find this information? Thanks!

I appreciate you having the consideration to not waste another professional's time. You could use trulia, zillow, or realtor (all .coms), but the accuracy may not be as precise as you want. We are more than happy to provide these services and have a team of 14, so time is not as much of an issue. Many of my over 1000 past clients e-mail me for pricing updates, neighbor sales, curiosity calls, etc. It would be my pleasure to provide that information. I have just one request

I have found that my clients like to look to zillow.com for help in establishing values. Just be cautious that it, like the MLS, is only as good as the people who use it. Going to the county for information may seem tedious as well but via phone they should give you up to 3 properties info per call. I would use that once you got close on a property. Hope that is helpful, good luck to you in your search!!!

The only way is to go to the courthouse in the area you are interested or if there is a service that putsthat kind of "deed change" information together then that would be your best bet.

Thank you for all your responses, I have checked realtor.com & zillow.com but am not coming up with specific numbers.

Gen, Kansas is a "do not disclose" state in terms of real estate sales price. The sold prices listed on Realtor.com are not actual, but their approximations (see their disclosure). County records provide their valuation, not the actual sales price. A Realtor or Appraiser would be the best route to go for actual "SOLD" prices. Best Wishes ~Charlotte

The sale price of a home is public record so you could get that information from the Johnson County Courthouse but it may be a little more time consuming. If you have a buyers agent, they should be happy to get that information for you from the MLS.
