Never ever do lease to own.

It's a great way to get in trouble and loose your money.

I've never once seen a deal that was good for a buyer.

If you are not ready to buy, then just lease until you are ready to buy.

Since rent to own properties may not be listed as such, consider working with an agent of your own. Keep in mind that rent to own can be risky and one could stand to lose a bit of money, therefore do inform yourself well, and consider consulting with an attorney who specializes in real estate beforehand. If you haven't done so yet, visit with any licensed loan officer, see if you can buy outright...

I'm not sure where you are looking that they charge you a fee just to see listings. Most of don't do that. However, finding and qualifying for a lease can be difficult, since the same problems that prevent a regular sale will make qualifying for a lease hard.

I'm afraid you'll have to ask a Realtor to send you the list of homes that are both for sale and for lease or homes that are outright marked by the owner that they're willing to work with a lessee/buyer.

Hi Sharon,

You will have to contact properties that are sold by owners. As we as realtors don't allow to work on lease to own properties anymore due to liability issues.

Good luck
