Hi Dan,

Joan is on the money and both areas of Marlboro are great! There are some differences in types of home and age of homes in these areas and it becomes a matter of preference in where and how you choose to commute to different places and what is important to your particular needs and wants.

I am very familiar with Marlboro and my office is in the area.. call or email if you ike and we can discuss pricing and tour all of Marlboro and decide where is a good place for you to start looking!

HI DAN, I WAS BORN & RAISED IN MORGANVILLE. BACK IN THOSE DAYS, IT WAS MORE LIKE A STEVEN KING NOVEL TOWN, SANS THE MONSTERS. MARLBORO PROPER WAS A SMALL FARMING VILLAGE COMPLETE WITH A GRANGE MEETING HALL, SURROUNDED BY FARMLAND. THE FARMLAND IN MARLBORO IS NOW, FOR THE MOST PART, HOUSING DEVELOPEMENTS. MORGANVILLE SEEMS TO STILL BE IN TRANSITION WHILE RETAINING SOME OF THAT STEVEN KING TOWN AMBIENCE. THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN DETERMINE DESIRABILITY IS YOU.

Morganville is a section of Marlboro & they are the same. They just have different zip codes based on the closest post offices servicing each section of town .There are also Marlboro homes with Manalapan zip codes. The town overall is very desirable: great schools, easy access to commuter highways, parks, recreation ,shopping & houses of worship. Marlboro is part of the Freehold Regional School System & all of the schools have good ratings. If you are searching for homes here the zip codes for all sections of Marlboro include 07746, 07726, & 07751.

Hi Dan,

Classic steering question. An agent who answers this question and proclaims one area to be more "desirable" is in violation of the Fair Housing Law and risks loss of license. It's really up to you to determine desirability based on your own personal criteria.

Morganville (07751) and Marlboro (07746) are simply two zip codes within the township of Marlboro.
Morganville has 2 of the 5 Elementary Schools and one Middle School. Marlboro has 3 of the 5 Elementary Schools and the other Middle School. The High School is located in Marlboro. Morganville is in the northern part of Marlboro township, so it is closer to the train station in Aberdeen/Matawan and closer to the Garden State Parkway. The southern part of Marlboro Township is closer to Route 18.

If you are not familiar with the neighborhoods now is the time to explore--visit each town more than once to get a sense of belonging--check out shops, dine at local eateries, parks, whatever is important to you, etc., to assure your comfort level can be reached--then take it from there--keep in mind that real estate professionals are prohibited from enticing a buyer to purchase, or not, in specific neighborhoods--opinions are just that and what's good for one may not necessarily be for another.
