Most Realtors don't charge an upfront fee. There are some exceptions.
As someone mentioned below, limited service companies often charge
upfront fees. Some full service Realtors will sometimes charge an upfront
fee to a client who wants extra advertising above and beyond. For example,
you want your executive home to appear in the NYT or WSJ real estate
section - that's typically an add on. But it's all negotiable.

Remember, as someone else said below, though Realtors are putting in many,
many hours for free and absorbing hard costs as well, most homes sell as full
service listings without any upfront fees or add ons.

Thanks for asking and contact me if you'd like to speak about your home,

Generally there is no upfront cost to list your home, however there are some limited service real estate companies that charge an upfront fee to put your home in the MLS and then from there you are basically for sale by owner. Coldwell Banker Roth Wehrly Graber is a full service real estate company and you pay no fees until your home sells.

As everyone is saying here you shouldn't have any upfront fees to your Real Estate Agent for them to list you house for sale.

Seller doesn't pay any upfront costs or fees unless the house sells if you list with Carpetner. You might have some cost to make the house show ready, but that is up to you. Every company has their own fee structure, so make sure to ask before you sign on the dotted line.

The seller may have some cost in getting the home ready to sell, but most of the upfront cost will be paid by the listing agent doing the internet marketing, virtual tour, signage, etc.

No there is not and you also don't pay anything unless it does sell. How can you beat that? We work for free if it does not sell.
