Is the Railroad track through Anna, TX along Hwy 5 an active track?

Asked by GR, Garland, TX Thu Jan 31, 2013

Does anyone know if the railroad track which runs through Anna along hwy 5 is an active track? If not active, then are there any plans that it may become active in future? I am looking at some properties along the track in Anna and do not want to make an uninformed purchase. Thanks!

You can also contact BNSF who probably owns the tracks for more info.

GR,
Most of the RR tracks that run through the Collin County area are still active. You should definitely contact the Texas Railroad Commission for full details. You could also contact the RR operator/owners directly such as BNSF or Union Pacific.

Great idea to look into this before making a purchase. Good luck!
