Is okay to live near (3-4) blocks from Caltrain in the sunnybrae area in San Mateo or is it better to choose parkside home in San Mateo ?

Asked by Daniel Sabastian, San Francisco, CA Fri Aug 1, 2014

Is the sunnybrae area near San Mateo a better choice than parkside are near waste water treatment plant? Do you guys know how bad is the smell in parkside area homes and how much are these homes usually priced or valued at? And how noisy is it in sunnybrae near the rail tracks? What's is the price range?

that depends on where you commute to. Are you driving occasionally?

There have been reports of smells that come from water treatment plants. They were never specific as to how bad they were or how far away you could smell it from. You should probably also consider other factors and see what your best options would be. If you were close to a water treatment plant, then you might not need a home system.

I agree with Michael. There are several factors to consider when choosing your home. While proximity to a water treatment plant is important, it is also good to remember that treatment plants can grow in size, which increases the radius of their smell. I would suggest keeping this in mind when deciding where to live. http://www.alwayspurewelldrillingnj.com/water-treatment--conditioning---softening.html
