Yes, although some of the features of these older homes might not work for tiny kids. I live and have my office in Old Town and there are lots of kids in the neighborhood.

By the way, I specialize in homes from the 17th and 18th century. These comprise most of the homes in Old Town. Please see my website at histhomesrealty.com. Thanks, and good luck with your search. It's a magical place to live!

Families have been buying houses in the historic district for almost 400 years.....

But sure, it's the essence of Marblehead.
My family has lived in 11 different houses all around the town, seven on The Neck alone, but I prefer to live downtown.
And I specialize in old properties, which must be carefully inspected.
Some are fine, some have serious flaws. You need an expert.

I just sold a house downtown and it needed structural work that the seller was unaware of.
