Yes, this is true. What's more important is some of these desirable schools do NOT have apartment buildings within the boundaries, so there are few rental opportunities.

For example, if you want Dilworth elementary, there are only 3 complexes that qualify.

FYI, you may have many more choices with condos than townhomes (the Rainbow ones others mentioned were condos, not townhomes).

If you are happy with Hyde/Cupertino, there are numerous condos at Albany, Auburn & Norwalk, as well as Strawberry Square complex.

Hi, Shawn:

Yes, there are less choice if you are looking for 2 bed Townhouse in Cupertino with under $450K. If you are open to some other area (also with decent school. such as Cambrian, Almaden Valley), then you will have more choices.

Generally you will find the townhomes in Strawberry Square (Mitty Avenue, Moorpark, almost to Saratoga Avenue, and 280) fit your price range for a two bedroom. Built around 1972-1973 (I lived on the other side of Mise Park at that time and watched them being built).

Right now there is Vesca and Daisydell available. Pendings: Mintwood, Verbena.

Let me know if you need an automatic email for new listings that pop up in the Cupertino School district fitting your price range.

Hi Shawn, there are a number of townhouse communities in Cupertino. Very few of which actually come up for sale. And even fewer that come up in the $450k price range. There is a complex on Rainbow drive (Cupertino Creekside) with excellent Cupertino schools that mix townhouse and condo style units. There are a couple of townhouse style units for sale right now in the $475-500k range.

There is a townhouse in Strawberry park that is listed for $418,000 right now, all Cupertino schools but probably the least desireable of the Cupertino Schools hence the price.

Also Saratoga Place on the border of Saratoga and Cupertino oddly enough has a San Jose address, attends Cupertino Schools, Lynbrook High and has a couple of townhouse style units in the $475k range.

Hope this is helpful,
