Is it possible to purchase a home if you are not resident in the United States?

I don't want you to get the wrong impression regarding the comment about credit from one of my peers. Not as easy as having good credit.
If you are going for a mortgage, you must have a work visa,student visa or green card PLUS the good credit to get an advance approval for the loan (checked assets and debt. ratios, application processed and approved.

Since 9/11, scutiny of international purchases have heightened. Be prepared with all documentation of what the purchase will be used for, ie. vacation/business...How often you travel to US.
More prepared the better.

Yes you can.

Cash is the easiest way. Proof of funds a must.
