Yes, Putting real estate. including land in an IRA is an excellent way to save for retiremnet. I personally have put about 10 lots in my IRA. I have several clients that have put condos and boat slips in their IRA. If you go to my website: http://www.lenoramarshall.com I have a tab on IRA's.

Yes, it is & many people have been very successful with this. There are great options available in self-directed IRAS that allow for great tax savings!
