To date, as of December 2009, there have been 30 closed sales under $250,000, 3 presently under contract and 10 active listings. That range tends to move a bit quicker but definitely you can find a nice selection of homes in that price range. Best of luck.

Hi Shoo, there are several homes currently listed in Point Pleasant ranging from $219,000 to $250,00. It depends on what you are looking for ie; number of bedrooms, baths, garage, etc. It depends on what your needs are in locating the right home. My office is in Point Pleasant. Not much out there in that price range. You can get something decent around 300,000. If you like the Brick area (right next to point pleasant) or Toms River which is a little farther south you can something nice in the 250,000 range. In point pleasant boro the home would be very small or might be in need of some work. You can get a condo for around that price. Nothing in Point Pleasant Beach. If you are looking on line, the zipcode for north part of Brick is 08724 and is about 4 miles to the Point Pleasant Beach boardwalk.

It is possible to buy a home in Point Boro for around 250k, but you should find a good buyers rep. With the way the economy is, and working with a good buyers agent who can research and hammer out a good deal, you may be suprised on just how much you can get. The home you find may need some work, which can work in your advantage in price negotiations, so be prepared for that aspect.
