Is it possible for a foreigner to buy a condo in Florida and have it let for short term leases (holiday let), and personal use?

I could bring a reasonable part of the amount of the purchase and set up a company to put this investment in.

hey there
I closed another condo-hotel. In this case you can use it as a hotel when you in town, and give it to the hotel to rent it for you, they alos take take of most of the maintenance.
Depending your budget, I work with two condo-hotel on the beach prices around 80,000 and another $250,000.

Currently working with a couple of European customers doing the same thing. You need to figure out what building is the best fit for you there are only a handful of associations that will allow owners to do this. Call us if we can help you further.

Hi Bertrand,
There are beachfront condos in the North Beach area that do very well with short term month to month rentals. These buildings are the Akoya at 6365 Collins av & the Bel Aire at 6515 Collins Av. The prices range from $300,000 to $1million. There is also Canyon Ranch which allows shorter term rentals at 6701 & 6801 Collins Av, with prices starting in the mid $400's.

There are variety of condos in Miami Beach that can be rented seasonal o for long time period,every thing depend of your preferences and your budget.The prices aprox starting at $300 K.I have a condo now that you can buy and rent

You can buy and lease. Most building have rules on the length of the lease or the number of times a year you cmay lease. It also depends on the city. Ex: In Miami Beach it is illegal to lease for less than 6 months by city law. In Florida an hotel tax should also be charged to all lease of 6 months or less.

It does not matter if you are a Foreign National or US Citizen, it soley depends on the building's rental policy and if they allow short term rentals.

yes you can buy and rent short term. However association has to allowed short term
Foreign Nationals need 30 to 35 % down to get loan but I can give you someone who can answer better
loan issues. I did mortgages for 15 years so I know a little bit about it

Betrand - As a foreign investor you are allowed to do short term rentals if the buildings condo docs allow it. Every building is different some allow month to month rentals, others require a min of 6 months and others a min of one year.
