Brittney,

The problem with being a young home buyer is that you have not had time to develop a solid credit rating. This is accomplished by buying and paying for your purchases, being responsible with credit cards, having a savings account, having a regular income etc.

Yes, it is harder to buy a home for the reason outlined above but this does not mean it is impossible. A high level of responsibility, wise spending practices, and being able to plan ahead will all help you in reaching your dream.

Develop a plan and go for it.

Best wishes,

It all depends on your credit score, work history and if you have a savings for down payment and closing costs, if you do there shouldnt be a problem. Your best bet is talk to a local mortgage broker, stay away from internet lenders, and have them pre qualify for a loan, they can tell you what you can and cant afford, what price range you should look in and how much your payments will b. if you can afford anything now, they should tell you what you need to do and how long it will take you. good luck with your purchase.
