Is not a big deal buying real estate Florida for foreign buyers. I suggest you work with a trustworthy Realtor from a reputable company. I am currently working with a French couple who came, saw a property they liked and returned to France. They have local representative who is acting on their behalf and I am preparing the contract for them. They can even close the sale from France if they so chose.
Once you buy, you will want to get a Tax Identification Number to avoid overpaying on the taxes when you sell. Otherwise your purchase is simple. Thu Apr 24 2008, 17:13

Cordier,
a shortened version of the "Guide to Buying and Selling Florida Real Estate" available at http://www.modernsouthflorida.com/guide_e.html may answer part of your initial question. You will probably likely some additional information, and I'll be delighted to assist you. Bon jour! Buying something is easy - all you need is money! Seriously: my wife Myriam and I work with many international buyers, both relocation buyers and 2nd home/vacation buyers. The process is fairly straight forward - you identify a property you'd like to purchase and negotiate a price with the seller. The market right now is very favorable to buyers, especially European buyers. Once a price is reached, you go to contract. If you are paying cash, it takes 30 days or less to close. If you financing, it can take 30 - 45 days.
It happens that my wife and I are going to be in Paris from the 12th through the 17th of March (next week). We are going to be staying in the 11th arr, near the Parmentier Metro station. If you are in that area, and you have some time, we would be happy to sit with you, and bring maps and copies of the contracts. Fri Mar 7 2008, 10:51 Web Reference: http://www.myriamsHomes.com
