Homes typically show better when furnished, but a lot depends on how well it is decorated and with what type of furnishings.

Some buyers prefer it to be staged, and some prefer it to be wide open. It really just depends on the area and how the interior of the property shows.

Some Buyers like to see a property staged or with furniture. This gives the Buyer an opportunity to see how the space translates when it is dressed. In addition, it may help the Buyer gauge whether or not their furniture will fit comfortably into the space.

Then, there are Buyers who like to see a clean canvas free from furnishings. This may give the potential Buyer an opportunity to examine the property thoroughly without the distraction of area rugs, artwork, or furniture.

So, I guess it boils down to a matter of individual preference.

Often the possible buyer will judge the house on what is in the house- that includes furniture, pictures, even house plants.

That totally depends on your furnishings.

It does depend on your furnishings, but I agree that most people aren't very visual, and need staging to help them better understand the space. If you need to move your furnishings before the home is shown, there are several staging companies that can provide this service for you.
