Hello Tony,

Whether or not an area is a good place to raise children depends on what you desire.

Some buyers want an area with parks near by for their children to utililize.

Others may want to be close to a church as worship is a big part of their lives.

Some focus on school, schools, schools, as education is first and formost on their list.

I suggest you check out the schools if your children will attend public schools.

If you want them active in yout sports, check out what youth sports programs are available in the neighborhood.

Also check to see if there are alreadly a good number of families with small children on the block..

After all, you can finda an ideal neighborhood, with motsly empty nestors, and you will find your neighbors do not want to hear children running up and down the streets playing and laughing.

So, as you can see a "GOOD area to raise children" can vary. It all depends on you and your family and what your wants/needs are.

Now if you are concerned about safety and crime....please contact the local police station, they can provide you info on crime in theh area

Much success to you, I
hope you and our family have a new home soon!

I suggest taking a look at some of the links available on the City of Carson's website http://ci.carson.ca.us/ - here you will find a multitude of tools/maps and resources that can give you a realistic impression of the area in question.

Hi Tony,

Based on that address, I would use this crime map as a starting point:

http://www.trulia.com/crime/Long_Beach,CA,90807/

You can also use a website like this one to help you learn about the schools in the area:
http://www.greatschools.org/

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Why entertain what other people think or say, another's opinion may not be anywhere near the best thing for you; why not simply visit the area more than once and at different times of day, and see all firsthand...
