Hi,
If you are interested in going a bit further south down 95 Stafford County is a great place to raise kids. We have been here for 20+ years, raised 3 kids & loved it here. Additionally, the cost of housing is quite a bit lower. Good luck.......

Realtors can't answer that question due to Fair Housing Laws. That's ground for losing our license.

Check out http://www.zipskinny.com for demographics broken down by zip code and the Fairfax County Schools site for test grades, etc. You can also check the Alexandria and Fairfax County crime reports on their sites.

It really depends on where in Bailey's Crossroads. For most people in the area, they think of the high rise condos and office buildings along Rte 7 & S. George Mason Dr when they think of Bailey's, but there are neighborhoods of single family homes that ring this area. The area is convenient to I-395 for commuting, has shopping, and is close to Shirlington, Clarendon or Old Town for entertainment & dining. You could also go into Arlington or the West end of Alexandria for comparable neighborhoods. I would also recommend that you check out the schools in the area via http://www.schoolmatters.com to see how they rank.

We hope this helps and you can contact us if you have any more questions.
