This location is in the Palatine High School boundaries. The northern boundary for Fremd is Colfax. There District 211 Web site has maps that provide the exact boundaries for the high schools. I included a link in the Web references. The one that is coming on the market will probably be above $200K. There is one house in the Fremd district under $200K currently. Louise how do they determine who goes to Palatine High or Fremd? Is this location allowed to go to Fremd?

Palatine is a great place to live. The location you mentioned is convenient to the downtown area and train, which is a always good for resale. The homes in your preferred area are very affordable, with current listings ranging from $181K - $330K (4 of them under $200K). I also know of an updated one coming on the market soon in that area. This area has a few homes under 200k in what seems like a nice safe area close to schools and the Metra. I wanted to know if I would get a decent return on a 200k house that got some updates. In 5 yrs will I regret the area?
