Prissy,
You should probably ask a qualified builder that question, although having lived in stucco homes in FL, its basically a concrete block home, which has the stucco applied over the blocks. As long as its kept away from moisture at ground level, I cant think of any problems with them in Kentuckys weather, but its best to ask an expert in the building trades. If you go with stucco, try not to paint it, if you do, you have to keep painting it and they can colorize the stucco to all sorts of hues these days.
