Mike O, Home Buyer in Austin, TX

Investment property real estate broker needed! I am planning to purchase a duplex in the Austin TX area and currently looking for a real estate

Asked by Mike O, Austin, TX Thu Feb 25, 2010

broker specializes in Investment properties with many years of experiences in the Austin area. Currently I met a real estate agent from an open house but unfortunately she is not specializing in investment properties. She is great for single family home though. If you or you know someone who has the knowledge in duplex investment in Austin TX, please post it here or send me an email directly at mike512512@hotmail.com. Thank you in advance and look forward to working with you.

Mike - My business partner & I are out of state investors and own several investment properties in Austin. We worked with Monte Davis at Davis Company (office: 512-473-2444 / website: http://www.daviscompany.com) to buy our most recent properties in S. Austin (a house and a duplex). He has a lot of experience working with investors and is an investor himself. He was very good at understanding what our investment goals & objectives were and then evaluating potential properties that would meet our criteria prior to presenting us with properties to consider.

If you are not going to directly manage your duplex, I recommend that you contact Gus Rojo at West Campus Living (phone: 512-472-9378). We've worked with other property management companies in Austin, but I recommend West Campus Living http://www.westcampusliving.com because they are responsive and have consistently provided us and our tenants with excellent service.

Good luck with your investment!

I , also would recommend Perry Henderson as he has over 800 videos on utube and knows the Austin area very well. Anything in the 78704-03 zip would be a wise investment for the future. They just sold a duplex on Josephine with multiple offers. I was going to make an offer but got priced out for my budget.

Wow thanks Lora, I was just about to recommend you. I recommend Loraa Herring. She has 17 years of exp. and owns duplexes in East and South Austin. BTW-She is much better with new investors than I. She has the patience of a cat and the sharp mind of an accountant. Lora@loraherring.com

I would recommend Perry Henderson from Prudential. He really knows investment property - owns some himself, of course - and he is always on top of the market. He was just telling me yesterday about an incredible opportunity and I went over to see it. Probably the best way to reach him is to text him at 512-791-7462 or his email is PerryTexas@yahoo.com Try him, you'll like him and he's not full of BS.

I highly recommend Castle Hill Investments - Robert Grunnah.

This is exactly what they do, every day.

He owns this space in the market and you'd be doing yourself a disservice by not interviewing him and his team for consideration. I've copied him in this email as well, but certainly reach out to them with a phone call if you are serious.

Mike, I work with a bevy of investors nationwide participating in "outside the box" transactions including but not limited to subject to, owner financing, wraps, note buying, short sales, options, etc. The most important aspects of a transaction are the skilled negotiations and the deal analysis. As a real estate broker and an ex-accountant, I'm your "huckleberry". Let's get together next week. My direct line is 512.922.4866.

Hi Mike,

Depending on the specifics, I may be able to help you out. I have eight years experience in Real Estate here in Austin and the majority of that work has been with investors both local and from out of state. Any respectable Realtor will tell you that we all have certain areas of expertise, I specialize in central and east Austin properties. If my experience might be of help, feel free to give me a call or shoot me an email with a little more information about what you are looking for and the areas you are interested in. If it's not in my wheelhouse, I would be happy to recommend another Realtor that would do a great job for you.

Best Regards,
Jeff
