I'm a 60 year old Christian divorced woman. I can spend $500-$600,000. Any opinions on which is better?

Bayside is a great community to live in and both the Bay Club and Towers at Waters Edge offer many great amenities. You should look at a few units at both complexes as well as also check out the Baybridge Condo complex too. You can't go wrong with any of these very fine complexes. The public schools are among the highest performing in all of New York City. You can walk to Fort Totten or ride your bicycle along Little Neck Bay, fish off the Bayside marina or shop till you drop at the Bay Terrace Shopping Center. If you want to get to a show in Manhattan, there are plenty of express buses or ride in comfort via the Long Island railroad and be there in 1/2 hour or less.

Both properties are very nice with unique features. The Bay Club is a Condo or "Real Property". You pay individual taxes and utilities and association charges. There are many lovely amenities to enjoy. Towers at Waters Edge are a Co-op, where you own shares of stock in a corporation with a proprietary lease on your apartment. Your maintenance includes taxes, utilities, interest on loans etc with an approximate 50 % deductable every year. There is a major renovation project well underway at TWE and there are some lovely apartments literally brand new with beautiful views, large terraces and many amenities as well.
Both properties have something to offer. The key factor is where YOU feel the most comfortable. We have built a real estate practice representing buyer clients vs. customers and understand the trepidations you might have.

Hi Susan, If you haven't bought already...There are some difference between the two. But the Bay Club- has its own shops downstairs. Deli, hair salon, health club, indoor/outdoor pool. The Towers -of the 3 Towers-only 1 "the Americana" allows dogs -also has health club (newly renovated)-outdoor pool - need to walk to the stores in Bay Terrace- short walk-but a walk. Hope a little useful to you. Terry K 718-614-3167 cell

Im a broker from howard beach. I like towers at waters edge, the renovations are very hi-end, and for your budget you can get a hi-floor unit with a water view. plus there's better amenities including a pool. I have pics, email me at jbarrettta@gmail.com. also, have you considered kew gardens/ forest hills? there are some new developments there as well which i love. check out http://www.kewgardensclassic.com. my number is 718-208-7011
