In Alaska, if I strike oil or find a bunch of gold on my property do I get to keep it? If so, what are the chances of getting a show on TV.

If you are a 'character' and present a love/hate personality, you nearly assured to be on TV.
All topics Alaska have a following.

A 'McGuiver" or "Tool Time' themed show highlighting the ingenuity of those who MUST be self-reliant, self-sufficeint and recorded in an appealing manner should get you a following.

If you need help finding a house, give me a call... here is a list of Alaskan themed reality shows - which does not include "Buying Alaska" or "Living Alaska" which would make a reality show of you buying a home. Hope all is well. David 907-350-0144

The state of AK, Alaska Native corporations, and the Federal Government reserves all mineral rights.

More than likely not. The state owns most mineral rights. you'd have to check your deed to be sure.

In most cases the answer is NO. Although it is not always the case sometimes the land past thru the chain of title with the mineral rights intact however not very often.

Did you find oil on your property? You are financially set if you did.

I think I'm going to take the oil money and move to the Hills of Beverly.
