If we move, we want to live in an established neighborhood (G'ville area). What zip codes/subdivisions do you recommend?

Hi There,
I answered your question on September 29th, so I'm not sure if you've posted the same question again through Trulia, or what the situation is. But I did want to tell you again that I'm here to serve you. Just provide your criteria for a home and your likes and dislikes and I can email you listings that meet the criteria. You can look at them online. If there's something that interests you we can set up a showing. It's a very easy way to work together. Just let me know.

The process of purchasing a home can go a lot smoother and better for you if we were set up a phone consultation to discuss everything that is pertinent to your move here.

Thank you all for your answers. Just posted a new question to try to narrow it down for you. Check out my new post. With all my requests being stated, I just heard from another family moving to the area that Riverside, JL Mann and Mauldin High Schools might be a good fit. Please be patient with me as I know absolutely nothing about the area. Many thanks, Sarah

It would depend on what price range you're looking in. If you can provide me that I'll recommend some wonderful established neighborhoods in my area of Northern Greenville County which has absolutely beautiful mountain views and a wonderful, quaint little town setting with friendly people! Just provide your criteria and I'll email you some listings to see.

I would like to plug Kilgore Farms, which is located on Greenville's East Side and is only a short drive to Downtown. Kilgore is a custom home community which came on line in 2003. The neighborhood currently has about 145 residents and will grow to 361 at completion. From an availability standpoint there exists a good mix of re-sales, new construction and vacant building lots. Amenities include: Pool with Cabana, Playground, Sidewalks, under-ground utilities, DSL and cable. A second amenity which will include a Jr. Olympic pool, tennis court, enclosed clubhouse with fitness center will come online in the Spring of 2011. The zip code for this neighborhood is 29681.

Good morning.

I will agree that the 29650 area is more established than say the Simpsonville (29680/29681) areas, but obviously there are pockets of established subdivisions in those areas as well. As Abraham said, without knowing specifics, it is hard for us to get specific, but I completely understand your desire to get broad answers in this stage of your search (I moved 6 times before I found Greenville).

If you get closer to downtown though, the North Main and Augusta Road areas are also obviously established. You will also find the Taylors (29687) area to be established, which is slightly northeast of downtown Greenville. I also won't leave out Easley (29640), since there are also many established areas within that zip code.

I hope that helps get you started, but don't hesitate to let me know if I can help with anything else.

As Abraham said there are many other factors to consider-location to work, schools if there are any children, amenities, price range, style of home, etc. There are many established neighborhoods in all the zip codes

Soccermom,

There are so many great areas around here that it would be tough to point one out without knowing some specifics. I will say however that I am totally impressed with the subdivisions around Thornblade in the 29650 area code. They are close to Greenville and great shopping, yet out of the heart of the city, and just a great atmosphere out there. Feel free to use my website to search, it is easy to use, and offers more options than most.
