If the house does not appraise

We are currently in contract on a house in Tracy that we bid $227K on. However, what if the house does not appraise for that much? Will the bank lower the price? We can not come out of pocket for any more money.

What you say is true, your REALTOR will negotaite back to the bank for the new purchase price which is the appraised value. Plus your lender will not alow you to buy a property less than what you're paying for. So good luck ussually, it will take another 15 days for them to come back to you or sometimes less.

Your agent should try to negotiate the price down with the lisiting agent.

You can always try to negotiate a lower price once you have that appraisal. Good luck .
