If one's goal is to be able to buy a house at the beginning of next year, what, aside from saving, should they be doing to prepare for that?

Meet face-to-face with a Loan Officer. Making sure that your credit is in order or that if there are things that need to be addressed is the best thing for a home-buyer to do. I think that it never hurts for buyers to become pre-approved NOW even though the purchase will not take place for another 12 or so months.

Today banks look for great credit above 700 FICO score, solid income with two years tax returns, bank statements, and income to debt ratio.

You should consult with a mortgage broker before you start your home search.

Please let me know if you would like us to provide you with one of our mortgage proffessionals?
