If me and a relative are buying and I am their POA can I sign for me and on their behalf if they are unable to attend closing?

The purpose of a POA is to allow you to sign the grantor’s name. A POA can be broad or it can be for a specific purpose. We have no idea what power the POA grants to you in regard to the purchase. You need to check with the escrow company or closer to see if the POA is acceptable.
