Hi Jab if you want a copy of the Weehawken's rent control laws you can get it from Clerk's Office. It costs about $15 for a copy. I don't remember the exact address but they're on Park right above the Lincoln tunnel. You can call the clerk at 201-319-6022. If you call them make sure to mention how many units are in the house.
Here is their website

Jab,

It is best to check with the Weehawken Dept. of Housing or the Landlord/Tenant Division.

They will be able to tell you if the rents were registered & if there are any restrictions on rental amounts.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I'll be happy to assist.

Sincerely,

Hello Jab! You'll need to contact they city's rent control/rent registry department and register yourself as a new owner and reset the rents that were established by the previous owner. You can set your own rents only when and if you contact the city and file properly.

If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to reach me.
Best of luck!
