If I am looking to use a VA loan to purchase a home, should I look for a realtor who is familiar with VA loan process?

Most agents should be familiar with the process of a VA loan and how to help you best through the process.
But in my opinion one of the most important aspects in deciding which agent to work with should be how comfortable they make you feel...you should have a good rapport and feel at ease and confident in your agent's abilities.

You don't need an agent that is familiar with VA loans just a mortgage broker. I know Aurora Village on Aurora road west of wickham is VA approved and good value.

It would be helpful if your realtor is experienced with the VA loan process, to assist you through all the steps involved from the start to closing. Just as importantly, your lender should offer a VA loan program and have an office locally where you intend to buy. What branch of service are you in or were you in? Tes, this can be important.

Most miltary or prior military would just as soon work with a prior service realtor. As prior service Marine Corps, I would.

NEXT: If you have used your VA benefit before, are not a disabled Vet and can put money down, consider AVOIDING the VA loan this time as it can be very costly as what's called a MULTI user with a very large VA Funding Fee cost!
