I would like to know if Niles Elementary has waiting list for new admission (kindergarten) and if there is one, how much is the waiting time?

On their website it says they have a lottery system for KG.

Hi kirtish,

If the FUSD are not able/willing to disclose the waiting list numbers the following links are probably you best source for finding a useful pattern; however, I 'm not sure in the long-run it will prove useful given the variability each year:

By the way, you can check any address in Fremont, and many other Bay Area Cities, via http://www.SchoolAndHousing.com which I find to be more informative and easier to use than the FUSD site - plus they also have a mobile application, which is quite handy when you are viewing homes! Just access http://www.SchoolAndHousing.com on your mobile phone to download the app for FREE.

Niles Elementary is probably one of the least over loaded schools with an API of 900+. Most likely you will find your way in. If not on the first day, shortly there after.

I had talked to the school and they keep saying we can't disclose the waiting list or any such information.
Here on forum I would like to see if people know about the recent years pattern -- if they have every year a huge waiting list (so that the kids wait for one or two years before they get admission) or a normal waiting period where kids get back to Niles after few months..
I am trying to get some idea about the schools in Niles (as I know the schools in Ardenwood have a huge problem with their waiting list).

Hi Kirtish,

You should call the school directly and get them to answer this question. Waiting lists can change from year to year so if they had a waiting list last year, it may not be the case this year. Real Esate agents do not know the school waiting list situation so it is best to call them directly.
