To stay close to your work and remain in a "newer home" you may want to look in Green Valley Ranch, which is a little newer than the Green Valley areas, which were built from the mid-80's through early 90's. GV Ranch began building in about 1996 through 2004.

Those are the 2 areas I would concentrate in. Both are beautiful, safe (according to the crime search) and are fairly close to your work.
