Home Buying in Jester Farms>Question Details

PMB1965, Renter in Cedar Park, TX

I work from home, so I'm looking for a place that isn't loud during the day. I have quite a few conference calls daily. Is Jester the right area?

Hello PMB,

While I live in Cedar Park now I actually built a home in Jester Farms and lived there for 4 years before moving to Cedar Park. Jester Farms is a great community and I would not expect you to have any noise issues. Honestly I don't know of any loud communities but you always do have the possibility of being next to noisy neighbors.

If you are concerned about that I would make a special effort to go and visit any potential home at different times of the day so you can get an idea of are and make sure the noise levels are not going to be an issue for you.

Hope this helps.

Aside from the typical lawnmower (Jester Farms has a strict HOA), during the day this is a pretty quiet neighborhood. There are, of course, the louder neighbors that you find in any neighborhood but I find it pretty peaceful. You may also consider Mesa Park as the homes are spaced further apart or maybe one of the few cul de sacs in the area.

I also tell my clients to drive a neighborhood at 3 distinct points in time. During a weekday, on a week night, and sometime on a weekend to determine if they like the area. If you are looking for quiet, I'd suggest a cove or court as there is no through traffic. Best of luck and if you need anything don't hesitate to text or call.

On the occasions that I have been in this area viewing homes I have found it to be a fairly quiet neighborhood. However, what I find to be quiet you may not. I always suggest to clients that they take a drive through an area or neighborhood that they are interested in to "get a feel for it".
