IF you are looking in the city of Dallas, then it's not realistic. But if your talking about the DFW suburban area I can help you find what your looking for. I ran a quick search and came up with 6 properties on the north side of DFW. They range from .5 to 1.9 acres and are located in the Denton, Sanger, Justin, and Frisco area. Send me an email and I will forward you more information on these properties.

Hi Calvergue,

I know a few in Irving and Grand Prairie that you can get a 3 bed and 2 bath home for your budge and about 1/2- 1 acre of land. They are about 30 mins from downtown dallas.

You can email me at dixondfw@gmail.com and we can talk more of which part of the Dallas you can narrow down.

Yes, it is possible; however, you'll need to think about how far you are willing to commute from work or from a certain place that you have to be. I currently have a client looking in Anna and Melissa for the same reason, and another one looking into part of Mesquite.

You can check my website at http://www.dfwdreamhomes.net for the most updated listings so you have an idea of what you can get for the money. I would also suggest that you come and drive around the area to determine how much country you'd like to live in and whether it bothers you if you have to commute.

Let me know if you have any further questions! I'd be happy to assist you in finding your country living, you can call me at 469-371-2899, and welcome to Dallas!

Your post says that you are looking for a home in Dallas. You should check out this site: http://www.bankforeclosuressale.com/. It is a leading website database that contains over two million foreclosure homes, including bank foreclosures, government foreclosures like VA homes and HUD homes, distressed properties and commercial properties that are for sale all across the nation.

All of the listings have had any outstanding liens eliminated and the title is free and clear. We also update our extensive collection of listings every day. Membership opens up the listing and reveals the contact information and a detailed property description including more photos.

I did a quick check for homes in this area priced between $150k and $200k and I found 266 active listings. Here is the link to check it out: http://www.bankforeclosuressale.com/list/tx/county113/dallas…

If you don't mind doing a little work, my company lists a lot of country properties in that price range. They are mostly north and east of the Dallas area. Let me know if I can help.

I found one:

Do you have to live immediately in Dallas city limits or could you live outside some.....

Here's a few others, if you can live a little outside Dallas:

Yes it is.. You need to be looking north of Dallas if you can, like Princeton or Anna areas you can get a brand new home on land for 175k. You just need an agent that knows their stuff, I got referred to The Lenders Network by a friend they hooked me up with a great agent when I was looking.. Good luck

It really depends on how country you are interesred in. The further you get away from tue Dallas metroplex the better your chances. That is a really competitive price range in our current market. Shoot me an emaik with your relocation dates and where you will be working or spending most of your time. Then I can start a search for you and send some properties for you to look at and then you can decide how you want to precede.
