I wanted to see the home listing at 2708 Heningway Lane which is on this site as for sale. My agent told me

Ginny
Both Buyer and Seller
Southfields, NY

that it was in contract. Why is it still on the active list?

Hi Ginny,

Also, I use to live in Southfields in Tuxedo Heights. I was on the second level, I believe it was Mountainside Dr. I loved that apartment! It had a huge garage.

Good luck with your condo purchase!

Hi Ginny,

It is listed as in attorney review, not under contract. Which means that you can still see it if the seller and their agent are willing to permit it. Tell your agent to request a showing even though it is in attorney review. You can always make an offer on a property regardless of whether or not it is in contract. That's what "backup" offers are all about.

i'm guessing that the company that fed the listing on to trulia has not updated their info yet.

your agent is right in that on our local MLS, it does does show that it's in attorney review. it can be considered active since it's in attorney review and not "under contract" as even in our public MLS site, it will stay active until it's "under contract"~

hope this helped~

Larger search engines do not update as often as the MLS Listings, there are penalties involved with the MLS if they are not kept current but the other websites do not have these rules, some of them update their info once or 2 times a week, sometimes the agent keeps their listings active to attract more calls so they can get more clients. I did not look it up but I would think your agent tells you the right thing, believe me she wants to sell you a house!
Take care and good luck, there are many homes available this is a good time to buy!
