Here is a blog I have written that discusses the Memphis areas that qualify for USDA Rural Development financing. There is also a map from the USDA site that shows what areas are eligible and which areas are ineligible.

Hello Kyatonie:
I am a new home specialist as well as existing home buyers representative. You have to find an area that offers USDA financing in order to use USDA financing. The home must be wiithin USDA boundary lines. I sit in a subdivision of new homes that is USDA designated. It is located off of Hacks Crossing Rd. and another nearby. We also have two in North Mississippi and in other areas of Shelby county. If I can assist in any way, please do not hesitate to contact me at 901/482-5671. What is your price range?

As you know, only certain areas qualify for USDA Loans. These are known as rural development loans and they have income and price limitations. You should go to the USDA.GOV website. There are maps there that show the areas that qualify for these type loans. Also if you know of a particular address, you can enter that and the website will tell you if that address will qualify.

It all depends on where you would rather be. What price range are you looking for? What area would you like best? How large a home? Bedrooms? If you would like some help in your home search or have any questions let me know. I've found a few maps of eligible and ineligible areas but we need to know more specific information about your options for moving. Let me know if I can help in any way.
